Dr. Gronquist was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and raised in Boston and Santa Barbara. He is the proud father of a baby girl and he and his wife, Joanne, are expecting their second in January 2006. In his spare time, he enjoys windsurfing, biking and tandem surfing.
