Vision Plans
Santa Barbara Optometrist is an Open Access practice, which means your vision plan—whatever it is—works with our office. We’re authorized to access and maximize “out of network” benefits for both services and materials for all vision plans.
Our office is also in-network and participating providers for Medicare, Blue Shield, and Cigna. If you have Medicare, we’ll bill Medicare and your supplement. We’ll also bill Medicare for any necessary medical office visits throughout the year.

What Open Access means for you:
No paperwork. You’ll never have to submit claims or paperwork to receive reimbursement directly from VSP—we’ll do it for you.
No restrictions. Your vision plan will no longer dictate the quality of your eye care and eyewear. Open Access means we only work with quality labs that offer the best service and warranties in the industry.
A discount for patients with VSP. All current patients with VSP will receive a 15% discount on services and eye wear for one full year starting March 2026.
